Twelfth Night. Barbican Theatre, performed at Royal William Yard. July/August 2017
Twelfth Night is a story where nobody is quite what they seem and absolutely anything seems possible. A chaotic comedy about partying, identity, cross-dressing and the search for true love. Identical twins are shipwrecked and lost from each other in a strange, upside down world. To survive “she” pretends to be a ”he” and “he” ends up caught in a mad tangle of love. And then along with love, there’s tight lipped meanness completely undone by a pair of bright yellow stockings!

Rumpus Cosy/Radiant Gallery. Christmas Grotto 2016
This is a project that I volunteered on to create some frightfully charming deer and a mythical snow deer who had been blinded by love.
The Christmas grotto is magical and enchanting, along with a seven foot snow creature the performance if fun for all the family!

Rococo Despair. World Of Wearable Art Finalist 2016
This is my finalists entry into the Weta Workshop section of the World of Wearable Art competition held in Wellington, New Zealand.
Frog Courtier. June 2016
This is my interpretation from a design by John Macfarlane for the Birmingham Royal Ballet performance of Cinderella. Macfarlane's designs are beautiful and fluid, capturing movement and texture.
I have used my love of texture and colour in this costume. By layering and sourcing fabrics to create a close realisation of the design and also bringing the frog characteristics to life. The use of velvet, metallic lace and silks to create a shine, like that of a frog.
I have also taken a non-tradition method of making a mask from felt! This is where i chose to push the boundaries of this costume. I used a combination of wet felting and needle felting techniques to create this robust mask. I built up colour and texture using simple techniques, that prove to be very effective!
This costume has formed part of my final major project for my BA (Hons) in Costume Production and Associated Crafts.

Autumn Leaf tutu. June 2016
This is my interpretation from a design by John Macfarlane for the Birmingham Royal Ballet performance of Cinderella. This tutu was a set of four different seasons: Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter. Macfarlane's designs are beautiful and fluid, capturing movement and texture.
I have taken my passion for textiles and incorporated this into my costumes by using various techniques, such as, free-hand machine embroidery and applique. My love of colour and texture has been used through this costume. Each leaf is individually made, using templates from real leaves that i have collected. Each has it's own unique texture and shape.
